Natalia Navarro, Miss Bolivar, won first prize for ‘Best Body’ in the lead up to the finale for Miss Colombia 2009 held in Cartagena on Monday night.
The killer athletic figure cut by Navarro outshone those of Miss Sucre who took second prize and Miss Bogota who came in third, reported news site Cromos on Tuesday.
Miss Bolivar has won a luxurious Caribbean cruise and five years worth of unlimited gym membership for having the best bod in the Combelleza National Beauty pageant and her award in no way excluded her from potentially being crowned Miss Colombia 2009 – several girls have won both titles in past years.
The event to establish which competitor had the best body was held on Monday at the sports centre in Caribe Plaza Shopping Centre in the world heritage city of Cartagena de Indias. Activities were conducted to test the coordination, strength, flexibility and fat percentage of the competing girls.
The annual grand finale in which this year’s Miss Colombia will be crowned is due to take place in the city amid much exhaltation on the eve of Monday November 16.
