Colombian authorities captured the second in command of the infamous organization of druglord ‘El Loco Barrera’, Colombian media reported on Monday.
During the capture, two other members of the organization as well as 26 vehicles and 11 firearms were seized.
According to the director of the DIJIN, General Gilberto Ramirez, the total value of Suarez’ assets is yet to be established but is believed to be significant. “Throughout this last year, the profit of this captive amounts to the sum of 20 billion pesos (US$1 million),” Ramirez told Caracol Radio.
The organization of notorious druglord Daniel ‘El Loco’ Barrera Barrera is considered to be responsible for the thriving drug trade in Bogota. He is one of the two most wanted criminals in Colombia.
The three captives will appear in court on charges of drug trafficking, money laundering, conspiracy to commit crime.
