Andrew Loog Oldham, the first manager of the Rolling Stones and architect of the ancient rockers’ bad-boy image, has been living in Colombia since the 1990s, but finds most of the country’s music “boring.”
In an interview with U.S. public broadcaster NPR, Oldham said he moved to the South American nation to be with his wife, Colombian actress and model Esther Farfan. “I not only fell in love with her, but I fell in love with the country,” Oldham told U.S. public broadcaster NPR.
However, despite the country’s rich musical history and culture, most of its music bores him, said Oldham.
The 66-year-old is still involved in rock music. He currently manages Colombian singer Juan Galeano and hosts online radio show Little Steven’s Underground Garage from his Bogota home.
