Heavy riots at Sunday’s game between Colombian soccer sides Boyaca Chico and America de Cali left donzens injured, local media say.
Following a goal by Chico in the second half of the game, visiting fans from America attempted to enter the field, but were stopped by police.
Police used teargas and sticks to prevent the rioting hooligans from entering the field. Some 40 hooligans and policemen were injured in the short surge of violence.
The game was suspended when the fighting broke out, but resumed after the ten-minute riot was over and the America fans were escorted out the stadium. Chico won the match with 1-0.
