Police in southern Colombia found a vehicle with fake U.N. logos allegedly used by the FARC to carry out an attack.
According to the authorities, the van had been painted white and had the U.N. logo.
“They tried using the vehicle in an attack against a police or military post in the region,” Caqueta authorities were quoted by Caracol Radio as saying.
The same authorities also did not rule out the possibility that the truck was used to transport injured rebel leaders.
The van was stolen near Medellin a few days before, say the police.
