The infamous 80s progressive rock band Alan Parsons Project will be tripping out and rocking out in Bogota on September 16.
For Alan Parsons Project music lovers the band is characterized by “their combination of electronic music with profound lyrics that lures the listener into a state of introspection and reflection,” (woaaaaaaaaaaaaah man,) and although the group have come a long way since their start in 1980- with major hit “Eye in the Sky”- the band rocks on.
Alan Parson, the bands director, is a very well-known musician throughout the world for his work as a sound engineer for bands such as the Beatles and Pink Floyd, working on their Grammy-nominated album “Dark Side of the Moon.” Parson himself has had 10 Grammy nominations for his sound engineering and various albums.
In addition to the legendary producer, engineer and recording artist Alan Parson, the Bogota band performance will be carried out by Guy Erez (bass), Danny Thompson (drums), Manny Focarazzo (keyboards), Alastair Greene (guitar), P.J. Olsson (vocals), and newcomer Todd Cooper on saxaphone and vocals, according to the band’s website.
The band will be performing Friday, September 16 at Teatro Jorge Eliecer Gaitan in the Colombian capital at 8PM. Tickets are available ranging from $64 up to $154 for preferencial seating accomodations, via TuBoleta.com.
