Colombian bombshell Sofia Vergara will reprise her role for the upcoming blockbuster “The Smurfs 2” which has begun filming in Montreal, Canada.
The sequel to the box office hit, which garnered $560 million worldwide, will mix animation, 3D and real images and is slated for a July 2013 release.
“We have so much talent we know the result will be a good movie. It’s like visiting old friends, although some are smaller than others,” said the film’s producer Jordan Kerner.
Vergara will resume her role as Odile Jouvenel, a cosmetics company executive alongside actors Neil Patrick Harris, George Lopez and Christina Ricci.
