Colombian soccer side Independiente Santa Fe are through to the next round of the Copa Sudamericana following a 2-1 aggregate win over Caracas FC.
Santa Fe beat the Venezuelans 2-1 in Bogota in the first leg, giving Caracas the task of turning things around in the second encounter.
But the Colombians kept their goal clean and as such maintained their one-goal advantage to move on to the next round in South America’s second-most important club tournament.
Santa Fe follow Deportes Tolima, who beat Oriente Petrolero 2-1 on aggregate earlier this week. Atletico Huila were stranded in the second round, losing 5-1 on aggregate to San Jose of Bolivia.
In Round 3, Santa Fe face Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro while Tolima meet with Argentinian outfit Banfield.
