Colombian superstar Shakira regularly checks her boyfriend Gerard Pique’s phone after rumours ciculated that the soccer star was looking at racy pictures.
“Shakira found some pictures of girls from magazines that Gerard exchanged with his teammates,” said a source close to the player in the Spanish version of tabloid InTouch.
The Barcelona FC defender allegedly sent pictures of models from magazine photo shoots to friends and teammates for their viewing pleasure, prompting a jealous fit from the 35-year-old pop singer.
Friends of the Spanish soccer player have expressed their surprise at the Colombian superstar’s possessive nature. It remains unclear whether these were the same friends who regularly ogled scandalous pictures sent from Pique.
Reports surfaced in March that the whirlwind romance might be on the brink of collapse after sources close to the Spaniard revealed that he was “tired” of being the focus of media attention and was rethinking the relationship.
