Green Party candidate Enrique Peñalosa took a convincing lead over socialist Gustavo Petro in the latest Bogota mayoral election poll.

According to a survey conducted by the National Consultancy Center, 29% of the 600 interviewees would vote in favor of Peñalosa.

20% said that they would vote for Petro, while 11% of the voters said that they would support former senator Gina Parody.

Results also include Carlos Fernando Galan with 9%; David Luna with 8%; William Vinasco with 5% Jaime Castro with 2%.

Aurelio Suarez and Carlos Eduardo Guevara each received 1% of the respondents’ support.

Recent survey results have been conflicting. Some indicated that Gustavo Petro would win the elections, while others have predicted a three way tie between Petro, Peñalosa and Parody.
