Despite her highly-publicized nomination, Colombian actress Sofia Vergara did not take home an Emmy for her role in “Modern Family.”
The ABC sitcom won the award for best comedy series, but Colombia’s most successful actress did not see her performance in the show recognized at the prestigious prize ceremony.
This is bad news not just for Vergara but for everyone that was looking forward to her promised naked dash down L.A.’s Sunset Boulevard if she won the prize.
Bombshell Vergara lost the supporting actress award to Jane Lynch from musical comedy-drama “Glee.”
Eric Stonestreet, who also stars in “Modern Family,” won an award for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.
The Colombian actress has been gaining momentum in Hollywood following her performances in the HBO series “Entourage” and roles in “Chasing Papi” and “Four Brothers.” She also starred on Broadway in the musical “Chicago.”
