Disney, in collaboration with a group of young Colombians, is preparing to produce a film based on a Colombian superhero comic book creation, reported weekly Semana on Monday.
According to the publication, the film ‘The Games Maker” is set for release in April 2014 and is based on the character Zambo Dende, the son of an African with indigenous roots.
“Zambo” was created by Nicholas Rodriguez, who “had a dream of creating a Colombian hero, a Latin American hero.”
According to Rodriguez, the movie will have “world class talent and stories that come out of Colombia, that can be digested and accepted by the world.”
