A Colombian Depeche Mode cover band consisting of a father and his two young children is an internet sensation.
Dicken Schrader and his kids Milah, 8, and Korben, 5, are a Colombian family whose covers of the popular 80’s band Depeche Mode have had over a million hits on YouTube.
DMK describes itself as trinket synthpop with an 80’s keyboard, xylophone, baby rattle, kazoo, a chocolate mix can, kiddie tambourine, coke bottle, plastic recorder, and “trinkets” on its instruments list.
“[DMK is} A three-letter band that challenges the concept of ‘band’ itself, a musical project that succeeds in proving that music can be done with anything, by anyone,” says DMK on it’s Facebook page.
