Colombia raises AH1N1 death toll to 17

Colombia health authorities raised the number of AH1N1 fatalities to
17 after four more patients were confirmed to have died of the virus.

According to the country’s National Health Institute, the fatalities occured in Bogota, Medellin, Facatativa and Viterbo.

The institute added that so far 270 people have been confirmed AH1N1 ptients. This included the 17 fatalities.

Colombia’s capital Bogota was struck harder by the virus; 10 patients there died.
