The Colombian police force’s anti-narcotics division found 16 kilos of cocaine stuffed inside three statues in Bogota. The statues, replicas of work by renowned Colombian artist Fernando Botero, were allegedly destined for Spain.
The statues were found in a Bogota mail warehouse, where they were waiting to be sent to Madrid by post.
A chemical analysis of the voluptuous figures, which included an amply-proportioned nun, found that the cocaine had been mixed into the clay used to sculpt the statues.
The police have not yet made any arrests. Click here for a peek at the narcotic-filled figures.
