After canceling the third season of popular Colombian hospital series “A corazon abierto,” the show’s producers have their hands tied, as the actors had already been contracted and now must be paid, reported gossip site Sweet.com.
RCN Television and Vista Producciones, who belatedly decided in mid-June not to produce the highly advertised third season of the show due to declining popularity, have apparently not been able to find replacement work for the actors, who had already been negotiated with and signed, and thus legally must be paid for the season’s work.
As gossip has it, the channel is desperately searching for a TV series or soap opera in which to insert the unemployed actors, so that they will not end up getting paid for sitting on the sidelines and twiddling their thumbs.
Unfortunately for the producers, the actors have to be given roles more or less equivalent to what they expected when they signed on, expecting to be the main cast of the show, or they could wave goodbye to RCN, taking the money with them.
