Heavy fog is causing chaos at Colombia’s international El Dorado airport in Bogota Wednesday.
According to the Colombia’s aerial authority Aerocivil, the fog caused the delay of 351 flights which is expected to cause chaos throughout the day.
According to Aerocivil director Santiago Castro, other airports in the country are functioning normally, but travelers all over Colombia must be prepared to face delays because of the trouble in Bogota.
“We are going to try to normalize the situation as soon as possible and offer our apologies to the passengers,” Castro told Caracol Radio.
El Dorado airport is dealing with one of the busiest times of the year because of the holiday season and the fact that floods and landslides are making travel over land in some cases impossible.
