Inhabitants of a small town in south west Colombia claim witches are
roaming their rooftops and trees. They started a good ole’ witch hunt
to cleanse the town of the dark forces.
According to Indulfo Santacruz, one of the worried inhabitants of Puerto Tejada, his dog barked nightly at the foot of his avocado tree looking up to the tree’s branches where, according to his neighbors, witches are housing.
“I had to saw off a branch of the avocado tree to make my dog stop barking,” Santacruz told reporters.
Midwives in the town say the witches want to take the town’s children and advise parents not to let their children out in the hours around midnight.
Neighbors organized a witch hunt trying to locate and expel the dark forces from the town 10 miles south east of Cali so as to keep their children safe. No witches have been physically located yet.
