Five United States Congressmen started a two-day visit to Colombia
Tuesday to be informed about the country’s social and security policies.
According to the U.S. embassy in Bogotá, the three Democrats and two Republicans Tuesday meet Luis Alfonso Hoyos, director of the presidential agency Accion Social that is in charge of the social impact of the country’s violent conflict and Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos.
Democrats Nita Lowey, Marion Berry and Ben Chandler and Republicans Kay Granger and Ander Crenshaw scheduled are scheduled to meet Colombian President Álvaro Uribe for Wednesday.
