Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, accompanied by ministers and the director of Proexport, the company in charge of promoting Colombian exports, will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland later this week.
Uribe, Foreign Minister Jaime Bermudez, Trade Minister Luis Guillermo Plata and Proexport director Maria Elvira Pombo will be at the forum to lobby “the possibilities for investment” in Colombia.
Uribe, Plata and Pombo already have a meeting set with “potential investors,” the trade minister announced on the Ministry’s website.
The minister also announced a number of face to face meetings to be held with investors, to persuade them to come to the Latin American WEF summit to be held in Colombia’s coastal city Cartagena in April.
