A stong magnitude-7.3 earthquake hit southwestern Colombia Sunday. According to preliminary reports, the earthquake left no injuries or major damage.
The United States Geological Survey and local geologists measured a 7.3 earthquake at 11:30AM local time with its epicenter in Isnos, a municipality in the south of the Huila department.

According to Cali newspaper El Pais, the earthquake lasted 50 seconds
The newspaper reported no injuries, but said that there have been complaints about telephone services in Cali.
The website of El Liberal, a newspaper from the nearby city of Popayan, was offline at the time of publication. Local authorities told RCN Radio that also in that city there had been no emergencies or reports of injuries.
