According to authorities the houses collapsed in the middle of the night while the majority of the inhabitants were asleep.Rescue teams and local volunteers are still trying to liberate those who are trapped or buried under the rubble.Local media report so far seven people were found dead during the rescue operation. Numerous wounded were taken to hospitals throughout the city.Inhabitants of neighboring houses were evacuated, because of the poor condition of their houses and the risk of further collapses.Nationwide over 20 people died the past week because of landslides and floods caused by heavy rains.
