Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos announced he will attempt to give solutions to persistent air traffic problems at a major tourism fair in Bogota, reported Caracol Radio.
Flight cancellations and delays continue to disrupt air traffic despite a labor deal made last week which Santos promised would arrest the problem.
The government will need to substantially improve airport infrastructure if it is to meet the goal of 4 million tourist visitors in 2014.
The government has already confirmed that feasibility studies are underway to add a third runway to El Dorado International Airport in Bogota.
The annual Colombian Travel Mart event, where Santos spoke, draws hundreds of tourism sector companies from around the world.
