Miss Colombia and the Colombian Mrs. Universe were embroiled in a controversy over a dress, media reported Tuesday.
The figure-hugging yellow creation which Miss Colombia wore to victory is remarkably similar in shape to the revealing red number Mrs. Universe squeezed in to, say designers and fashion experts.
Both dresses were made by Colombian designer Amalin de Hazbun who says she is not worried about the quarrel. However the red dress is making Miss Universe “feel uncomfortable” with its resemblence to the lesser queen’s attire, “it was the same dress in a different color, just that,” complained the beauty queen.
This is not the first time in her short reign as Miss Universe that Layla Martinez has been the subject of controversy as Russian media accused her of being married to a drug dealer in the days after her crowning.
All that remains to be seen, however, is just who looks better in that dress.
