Delta Airlines is now offering daily direct flights between New York and Bogota, newspaper El Espectador reported Thursday.
A spokesperson for the U.S. company announced the increase in frequency of direct flights between the two cities. Previously there were only one or two flights a week, with increases around high-demand periods like Christmas. Delta Airlines stated in November 2010 that starting in February 2011 it would offer non-stop flights every day between the two major cities.
These flights join those already offered by the airline between Atlanta, Georgia and Bogota which will “facilitate traffic between Colombia and the United States” said the company’s spokesperson.
Delta also announced new services between Detroit and Los Angeles and between Boston and Miami.
