The Central Bank of Colombia has unanimously elected Jose Dario Uribe as their chairman until 2017, reported local media Friday.
Colombia’s Finance Minister Mauricio Cardenas confirmed the decision earlier today and praised both Uribe’s professional and human qualities saying, “the work he has done over the past eight years in charge of management… is a guarantee for all Colombians.”
Uribe has served as the bank’s chairman since 2005 and is currently in his second term. His third term will officially commence on January 4, 2013.
