Bogota authorities decided to lift the 11PM curfew for selling alcohol. The ban was imposed in January.
The pilot project, which was implemented to decrease alcohol abuse by minors, expired this Monday.
Authorities decided not to prolong the project since local traders signed a pact with the city. Shop owners of nine areas in Bogota undertake not to sell liquor or cigarettes to underage children, newspaper El Tiempo reported.
The authorities accepted the commitment of the traders but will keep on monitoring the sale of alcoholic drinks to minors and the consumption in public areas.
