Authorities arrest 5 FARC suspects in Bogota

Members of the Colombian army and intelligence service DAS arrested two men and three women , suspected of being in charge of the security, logistics and finances of the FARC‘s Eastern Bloc.

All arrests were made in the capital Bogota.

Among the arrestants is “Pacho,” suspected of being the financial head of the FARC’s Urias Rondon Front.

According to the authorities, the arrested suspects’ group has is highly influential in the Meta department, just south of Bgoota, and responsible for the security of prominent members of the guerrilla organization’s Eastern Bloc, led by senior FARC commander “Mono Jojoy.”
