Colombian Vallenato legend Rafael Escalona has been taken to hospital, local media reported on Friday. He is in bad health but stable.
According to Astrid Escalona, the daughter of the elderly composer and singer, the whole family gathered around him and is currently waiting for reactions to a new treatment and to new drugs.
During the last two years, Escalona has been hospitalized numerous times. He survived several heart attacks and the doctors lost hope for the ‘Master of Vallenato’ a couple of times.
