Three shops were bombed in Quibdó, the capital of Chocó, allegedly as a retaliation for not paying extortionists.
Bombs exploded in the shops just before midnight Monday and damaged the targeted establishments and surrounding buildings. Nobody was reported injured.
According to police commander Álvaro Bahamon , the shops were attacked because they refused to pay extortion money to the FARC’s 34th front.
Authorities will reward information leading to the perpetrators of the bombings with 10 million pesos (US$4,000).
