The head of the Peruvian police explained that a man and a woman, who belong to Front 63 of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) rebel group, were caught.He added that Front 63 was very close to Loreto, one of Peru’s jungle regions.The man captured was identified as John J. Manrique, a.k.a. “Oliver” and “Tanaka”. The woman was identified as Lady Vivas Guerrero, both are 25 years old.General Salazar said Peruvian police had caught the man and the woman with the help of Colombian authorities, stating Manrique and Guerrero had been detained at 5:45 Wednesday morning on the fifth block of Abtao Street in Iquitos, the largest city in Peru’s rainforest.Authorities in Lima are preparing a special team to pick up the two detainees and bring them to the country’s capital within the next few hours.”These are the results when work is done professionally, we are proud to be police officers, that is what Peru’s national police is saying to international terrorists, that it won’t happen here”, said General Salazar.
