The members of the army who are suspected of having murdered 11 men
from Soacha to report them as guerrillas killed in combat made “serious
mistakes” in their ‘false positives’ operation, the Prosecution told the court Tuesday.
The reports made up to make the murdered civilians look like guerrillas killed in combat showed future dates “like the soldiers could predict the future”.
Other documents did not even specify basic data like the date or the name of the operation.
The Prosecutor also noted that the soldiers had no official permission to conduct military operations on the day the young men were killed.
None of the soldiers accepted the charges for conspiring to
commit a crime, forgery of public documents, aggravated homicide and
forced disappearance.
