Mexican band Molotov returns to Bogota November 12 for their “Chinga Tu Madre Party 2011” with special guests DJ Fiona Besson and Pika, as well as Latino Grammy 2011 nominee Doctor Krapula.
The night at Teatro Metropol in the Colombian capital promises to be one of the band’s best, full of “lots of tequila and dancing until dawn.”
The performance is part of their “Don You Know We’re Loco” tour that has taken the group all over the United States, Mexico, and included a visit to the Dominican Republic.
The Molotov band has won four Latino Grammy Awards, four MTV Music Awards, and have various Gold and Platinum ranked albums. The band is dedicatedly “anti-system” and against conformation, which has defined their alternative musical style that is a mix between hip-hop, rap, and rock, with heavy guitar riffs and bass-lines.
Many songs are politically inspired and rapped and sung by all members of the group in a mix between Spanish and English.
Band members include vocalist and guitarist Tito Fuentes, vocalist and bassist Miky Huidobro, vocalist and bassist Paco Ayala, and vocalist, guitarist, and drummer Randy Ebright from the United States.
