Two former presidents of Colombia’s Supreme Court are being
investigated by the House of Representatives’ accusations commission
for allegedly having had ties to an Italian drug lord.
The judges Yesid Ramírez Bastidad and Carlos Isaac Náder were called to the commission, because they are suspected of having been friends with Giorgio Sale, an Italian drug trafficker, currently in jail.
Ramírez and Náder are suspected of having accepted invitations to eat in Bogotá restaurants owned by the drug lord. Ramírez already admitted to have received a watch from the drug lord.
