Colombia’s military on Thursday located an explosives cache suspected to belong to the country’s largest rebel group, FARC.
The cache of explosive materials, found in the southwest Cauca department, is said to belong to the Jacobo Arenas mobile column of the FARC that acts in the western part of the country.
Contained in the cache were 90 gallons of black powder, four packages of staples said to be used as shrapnel, 120 plates of tar and 24 iron tubes.
Colombia’s military reports that this is the tenth seizure of its kind under the Sword of Honor campaign that began in January 2012.
