Former Colombian ambassador in Nicaragua, Melba Martínez López and her
son Eugenio Grob Martínez have been stabbed to death by two men that
reportedly gained access to the diplomat’s property.
Eugenio Grob recently placed a classified in a newspaper, with the purpose of selling a bike. The perpetrators most probably showed interest in the vehicle, fooling their victims into granting access to their house, located in Bogotá’s Calle 127 with 19.
A security guard found the two bodies, after noticing that their garage door had remained opened for an unusual amount of time.
Authorities say that the crime may have been a robbery although no expensive objects have been taken from the house.
Melba Martínez was ambassador in Nicaragua as well as consul in Munich (Germany) and Port-au-Prince (Haiti).
