Brazil on Friday reiterated its willingness to help with the logistics of the release of two hostages held by the FARC, following news that the rebels would reject the country’s help.
Brazil’s ambassador to Bogota, Valdemar Carneiro Leao, told press Friday that the Brazilian delegation in Colombia to coordinate the releases did not hear anything from the FARC regarding the release operation.
The FARC has promised to release soldiers Pablo Emilio Moncayo and Josue Daniel Calvo, but hasn’t made any apparent efforts to allow the operation to take place.
