The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Judicial Council want to question
Colombian president Alvaro Uribe, who had said paid lawyers file
complaints on cases of ‘false positives’.
President Uribe said last Friday that international organization are paying a group of lawyers that purposely make false accusations against members of Colombia’s security forces. He did not specify what group of lawyers he was talking about or what international organizations are involved in the financing of these lawyers.
Judge Ovid Claros, president of the Disciplinary Board told Caracol Radio that, in order to investigate his claim, they require Uribe to hand over details which can prove that individual lawyers were filing false allegations to incriminate the government.
