10,000 false copies of ‘Out of Captivity’, the book written by
three former U.S. hostages, were seized in Medellín, days before the
official Colombian release of the translation of the book.
The falsified book was literally translated ‘Fuera de cautiverio: 1.976 días sobreviviendo en la selva Colombiano’, even though official publisher Editorial Planeta had not yet decided what name to give the real book.
The falsifications had been translated from English to Spanish by online translation services.
The original of the book has been on sale since February.
