A promised increase in salary hasn’t convinced the tens of thousands of striking judicial workers to go back to work. The strike continues.
Interior and Justice Minister Fabio Valencia announced Friday he had “scraped the pot” and found budget to allow an increase of salary for the judicial employees, but didn’t say how much the pay rise would be.
“We will not increase wages at once, like they wanted, but will increase the salaries in a period of three years.”, the senior official told El Espectador.
Spokesmen of the judicial workers turned down the government offer and say the strike will continue.
