A woman was stabbed to death by her boyfriend on a bus in Cali, the capital of the Valle de Cauca department, local media reported on Saturday.
According to witnesses who reported details of the events to police, the couple boarded the bus at the Chiminangos station, at the northern entrance of Cali, where they began to argue in front of other passengers. A few meters before arriving at the next station, the man pulled out a knife and struck the woman once in the chest and once in the neck.
The woman, said to be in her 50’s, died immediately. Her attacker escaped into the industrial areas of the city.
Police have offered a reward of approximately $2,700 for information leading to the arrest of the attacker. Meanwhile, police are looking through video surveillance of the industrial area to establish a description of the man.
