Madonna’s guitarist promised that Wednesday and Thursday’s concerts in Medellin will be the best shows ever.
Monty Pittman on Tuesday told local media that “each time you play in a place like South America, especially when you play in a big stadium, people have a lot of energy and that makes your performance as a musician…energized, so…I can safely say that this concert…will be the best they [Colombians] have seen in their lives.”
Pittman deemed playing with Madonna the “dream job for any musician.”
“When asked who would be [my] dream [to] play with, I always say I would not play for anyone but her.”
Pittman went on to offer advice to the people of Medellin and their government.
“You should invest in programs that foster creativity and forms of expression through art. I am a firm believer in education through music, I think music is one of the best ways for a child or any individual to express themselves…so I believe that governments should invest more in music education.”
Pittman’s message to the youth of Colombia: “Know yourself, know who you are, educate yourself…if you do something that helps everyone, [the] universe…you know you’re making the right decision.”
