The World Bank granted a loan to Colombia for US$7.8 million to aid displaced populations in areas of conflict in the country.
The loan has a repayment term of fifteen years and a grace period of ten years.
The organization stated that the resources will fund the Development and Peace Project, which aims to assist low-income displaced populations in urban and rural communities in conflict zones.
The statement also said that ultimately the project will help to reduce the risk of exposure of these populations to conflict and mitigate their negative impact on citizens.
