Colombian singer Juanes formed part of an all-star line-up on Sunday, when he performed at a charity concert in the Dominican Republic to raise money for earthquake-torn Haiti.
Organized by Dominican musician Juan Luis Guerra, the show took place in the country’s capital Santo Domingo, where Juanes was joined by big-name international artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Miguel Bose and Johnny Ventura.
The Colombian crooner opened his set with a heartfelt offer of “a big embrace from here to all the people of Haiti,” before playing some of his most well-known tracks, as well as several new songs from his soon-to-be-released album.
Juanes and his fellow musicians were watched by some 40,000 fans in the city’s Felix Sanchez stadium.
The money raised from the charity gig will go towards building a children’s hospital in in Haiti’s devastated capital Port-au-Prince.
