The AH1N1 virus may catch anyone, including soccer players. Colombian
forward Macnelly Torres experienced this first hand after attracting
the virus last week.
Torres was infected in Chile, where several of his Colo Colo teammates had already been struggling with symptoms.
Esteban Paredes and Rodrigo Millan were first to show signs of the disease, and appear to have handed it over to Torres. While these two players have already returned to training, the Colombian spent the last five days in isolation.
However, Torres has passed the most serious phase of the illness and should return to the pitch soon as well.
Another two players were tested for AH1N1, but both tests resulted negative.
