Colombian football club Independiente de Medellín are practically
through to the group phase of the continent’s most prestigious club
tournament, the Copa Libertadores.

Sixteen minutes had been played at Atanasio Girardot stadium when Jackson Martínez opened the score, and the 22-year-old striker added a second three minutes later.
Ivan Corredor scored a third on 34 minutes and Martínez completed his hat-trick two minutes after the break.
The return leg is to be played in Uruguay on February 4th. As 2008 Copa Mustang winners, Boyacá Chicó and América de Cali have already qualified for the group phase.
