The eighth International Circus Festival opened in Bogota this week, aiming to raise environmental awareness amongst its audiences.
The festival, which is being held in the city’s Botanical Gardens and will run for fourteen days, is organized by Spanish circus company “Only for Clowns” and aims to use family-friendly slap-stick humor to raise awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.
The festival will coincide with the International Day of Water, when issues such as drought, flooding and water wastage are highlighted with events around the world.
Bogota’s Circus Festival will run until April 4 in the capital city’s Jose Celestino Mutis Botanical Gardens.
