by Adriaan Alsema January 6, 2011

Colombia news - FARC training

A video seized by Colombian authorities and released to television network RCN shows the FARC’s elite forces training.

According to RCN, the video was seized last year when authorities arrested “Jeronimo Galeano,” a suspected guerrilla, close to the FARC’s supreme leader ” Alfonso Cano.”

The FARC’s “Special Forces” are accused of carrying out high-profile attacks such as the kidnapping and killing of a governor in 2009 and the 2003 bombing of an exclusive club in Bogota.

The video was reportedly shot in the Tolima department.
