Venezuelan authorities say they captured a presumed leader of paramilitary group Águilas Negras in the western state of Zulia.
Yesenia Dávila, alias ‘Commander Camila’, was captured in Maracaibo Tuesday together with one of her accomplices, Venezuelan media say. The second arrest wasn’t confirmed by authorities.
The womanallegedly was extorting Venezuelan farmers and businessmen in the west of Venezuela, a local intelligence commander said.
Both detainees are linked to the Águilas Negras, Colombia’s most feared paramilitary organization after the demobilization AUC.
