Colombian pop diva Shakira has sent Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez a guitar with her autograph, the Venezuelan Minister of Information said Sunday.
Minister Andres Izarra announced the gift on his Twitter account, attaching a photo of the autographed socialist-red instrument.
In a March 27 television broadcast, Chavez announced that Shakira wanted to meet him while in Caracas for a concert, but that he “unfortunately” didn’t have time.
